Winter Storm/ Veteran's Day

I'll first start that sometimes I hate the weather around my neck of the woods.  A couple days ago we had a huge snow storm that dropped about a three-inch thick blanket of snow, while pretty to look at, was very destructive.  We've got a big tree in our front yard, and the snow was so heavy that it caused several of the branches to snap off and fall to the ground, and I'm not talking about the small branches, I'm talking about really big ones.  One of the larger branches fell on my car and broke the side-view mirror and cracked the windshield as well.  The good news is I can still drive it and that's really the only damage it did, so I'm relieved about that.

Second, and a more lighthearted note, happy Veteran's Day.  For my friends in the armed forces, or complete strangers, thank you for your service.  I hope you get to enjoy your day off.
