You know I'm ticked when something like this happens.  Here's the scenario, you go to a place for several years to either blow off some steam, get away from your troubles, or just plain visit friends and have a good time.  Well, I'm pissed to the highest degree right now because one such place I loved going just closed without warning.  That place being Starlight Bowling Alley in my home town on Stardust Ave.  It seems to be a trend that my favorite places in that area have been disappearing one by one.  First it was the local Video Maniacs, which was a rental store that existed before Netflix, but ever since Netflix became a thing, it started to struggle in business and as such it's understandable that it would inevitably close.  Next was the pool hall known as Keystone Cue and Cushion, and the whole complex it belonged to.  It closed for a while, reopened, and then closed again.  Then a few years after that, the building was demolished.

What got me the most pissed off about Starlight's closing is that they were only notified ONE DAY before it actually happened.  WHAT KIND OF SENSE DOES THAT MAKE?!!!  Look, I'm sorry government, but that's just BULLSHIT!!  Companies that are going to be shut down should at least have two weeks notice before being shut down, rather than one day.  That just isn't fair, to either the customers or the employees.

So, if there are any government officials, tax offices, or other company associated with shutting down businesses, DON'T GIVE THEM NOTICE ONLY ONE DAY BEFORE YOU ACTUALLY DO IT!!  I would have been fine with them closing if I had had time to adjust to it before it happened to give it a proper good-bye, BUT NOT OUT OF THE BLUE LIKE THAT!!

I feel about this the same way I feel about an unexpected death of a friend or a family member.  First, it was completely unexpected and I didn't give them a proper send off.  Seconds, I would be, and am, in shock about it happening which would last far longer than if I knew it was coming.

You see what I'm saying here?
I wouldn't be so hurt if I knew it was going to be closing, and if that were the case I would have given it the send-off that it deserved.  For one, I would enjoy playing a few more games on those lanes, or in the arcade one last time before saying farewell to the place for good.  I would have been perfectly fine with that.

But like I said, the people at the alley didn't even know this was going to happen until ONE DAY PRIOR!!

So yea, I'M VERY TICKED!!  There was no reason for the bowling alley to close.  It was still successful, there were still people enjoying the time they spend there.  It had a family friendly atmosphere, and it had recently been remodeled.  Granted, I didn't like how the remodel was handled, but it's nothing to complain about either.

I'm going to join the group that are calling themselves "Save Starlight" because I don't want it gone, and I strongly feel it was closed for unfair reasons without being notified as such two weeks beforehand.

If it was a health code violation, then I would have been perfectly fine with that, but no.  The news broadcast I say mentioned nothing about why it was closed.
